I recently had the pleasure of staying at Izumo Guesthouse, and I must say, it exceeded my high expectations in every way. The traditional Ryokan-style interior truly transported me and my elderly parents into a serene cultural experience with tatami-mat rooms and cozy futons, which, while firmer than typical mattresses, added to the authentic ambiance we sought. The shared kitchen was a delightful surprise, spacious and well-equipped, allowing us to prepare our meals with ease, and I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea while basking in the friendly atmosphere created by the attentive staff. The guesthouse's location, just a short distance from Izumo-Shi Station, made it incredibly convenient for us to explore the area, while the warm hospitality we received truly made us feel at home. the careful considerations for comfort, such as sufficient heating, ensured that our stay was enjoyable, even during cooler evenings. I wholeheartedly recommend Izumo Guesthouse to anyone seeking both comfort and a taste of local culture—it truly is a gem in the heart of Izumo.
